REGULATORY COMPLIANCE / INTERNAL CONTROLS AUDIT / OPERATIONS
REVIEWS
Darlia Fogarty, Director of Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls Audit, has over twenty years in the banking industry. Darlia was a national bank examiner with the OCC for thirteen years. The last five years she was one of twelve examiners who traveled coast to coast examining the very large consumer / credit card banks. Her last OCC assignment was training examiners on BSA / AML examinations in Florida for nine months.
Prior to joining the OCC Darlia worked in a community bank in North Central Texas ten years where she attained the level of Vice President / Auditor which included the duties and responsibilities of Compliance Officer and loan review answering directly to the Board of Directors. Darlia is Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor.
Darlia joined The BANKERS ADVANTAGE Group, as Director of Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls Audit, in October 2006.
A check of Darlia's background and references, from bankers who know her as an examiner, revealed common themes of one who is knowledgeable, professional, easy to work with, including a willingness to be helpful, unlike some regulators with a attitude of "gotcha." This has certainly carried over to BANKERS ADVANTAGE clients who have made similar comments along with her interest in helping them get it right.
Having been on both sides of the desk, Darlia appreciates and respects the positions of banker and regulator. She possesses a strong desire and sense of responsibility to assist in achieving the common goals of both.
